Kamal Al-Din Abu Al-Abbas Al-Suhrawardi
Kamal Al-Din Abu Al-Abbas Al-Suhrawardi (1): Born and raised in Baghdad, Kamal Al-Din Abu Al-Abbas Ahmed Bin Muhammad Bin Al-Azz Al-Bakri Al-Suhrawardi was Sheikh of Ribat Sa’ada.
Sheikh Kamal Al-Din grew up in a progressive home in which knowledge, Prophetic narrations, and Tasawwuf were given great importance. He was appointed to serve the Sufis of Ribat Sa’ada, building on the foundation of his honorable ancestors as Ribat Sa’ada had long been their abode, endowed to them by Ezz Al-Din Sa’ada Al-Rasa’ili.
Kamal Al-Din was an honorable scholar who received hadiths from the companions of Abi Waqt. He was also appointed to the royal court as the Khawaja in charge of several princes, a position resembling that found in a modern-day ministry in many respects, as he was the one to speak on their behalf to the vizier and manage all of their affairs.
